Connecting with Creation

A Solstice Celebration!

December 21st brings us the Winter Solstice! This time of year we look inward for deep reflection on the year past and set meaningful intentions for the year ahead. This is also a time to make meaningful connections with Spirit, Creation, and each other as we begin to spend more time indoors.

To celebrate the Winter Solstice, we welcome you to join the New Horizons team and Rodney (he/him) from Rod's Art & Creative Crafts for an afternoon of crafting, tea, storytelling and laughter!

Rodney will guide us through the creation of a miniature tikinagan (cradle board), with North Bay locally sourced and traditionally harvested materials. This craft will remind us that we were all born into this incredible journey of life; all equal, all sacred. Let's get together and celebrate the season, our spirits, and our stories!

This event is inter-generational, and spots are limited. As this is a celebration of Indigenous cultures, priority will be given to Indigenous identified individuals. Our craft kits will be delivered in North Bay, or shipped within our program catchment areas.

Registration is required and participants may be put on a wait list to allow for priority engagement. Zoom is required to attend and the link will be provided prior to the event.
